These are the ingredients you will need to make real Cajun Red Beans and Rice:
- 16 oz Cajun Red Beans
- 1 1/2 cup Uncle Ben's Rice
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
- 2 links of New Orleans Cajun Andouille sausage
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 Tablespoons Zatarain's Cajun seasoning mix
Cooking Instructions Cajun Red Beans And Rice Recipe
Soak your Cajun Red Beans over night in 4 cups of water. Place the soaked Red Beans In a large stock pot and cook on low heat for 2 hours. Prepare the 1 1/2 cup Uncle Ben's Rice as per package. After cooking the red beans add the 1 teaspoon black pepper, 2 tablespoons chopped garlic, 2 links of New Orleans Cajun Andouille sausage cut thin, 1 chopped onion, and 2 Tablespoons Zatarain's Cajun seasoning mix. Cook the red beans for 15 minutes on med heat. When finished place the cooked Uncle Ben's Rice in a bowl and place a cup or so of the Cajun Red Beans on top of the rice and serve.
